Hi,

I have some questions regarding the NSO device out of sync

After how much time, will NSO declare the device as out of sync?

do NSO check/compare config for the device before any new config did from NSO ? and then it decides if the device is in-sync or not?

is there any config in NSO to increase time?

do we need to perform sync-from to all devices after every login attempt to NSO?i

I've been using CML 2.0 for a while now, and never had that problem before.

For the second day in a row, after successful VPN connection using Cisco AnyConnect I am unable to open https://10.10.20.161 to access CML web interface. I didn't change anything in my PC. Can someone tell me what might be the cause?

We have Cisco Packaged Contact Center Enterprise in our organization. I've been tasked to see if there is any way to pull the incoming call phone number while the caller is waiting in the queue or from the Cisco inbound switch. Once we pull the phone number, we want to send that to another program to see how likely that caller buys our product based on that we want to bump the priority of that call in the queue. This needs to be done in real-time. Is there a possibility within CISCO PCCE to achieve this? Any help on this is appreciated.

How to get the configuration of Multiple Call/Call Waiting Settings on sepecific device?

In CUCM portal, I can modify the "Multiple Call/Call Waiting Settings" of a specific device by accessing the directory line from that device.

How can I get or even modify these values using AXL? I could not find the entry. Thanks a lot!

Record with Confirm Filename

Okay - this should be super simple but I'm having a brain fart that's lasted for a day. I'm working on an VXML app where I need to grab data entered in a previous digits with confirm node. I've tried both trying to store {Data.Element.Extension With Confirm.value} as a element data ("Data.Element.Extension With Confirm.Filename}") and also trying to directly reference {Data.Element.Extension With Confirm.value} as the filename. Each time when the recording is written it has a literal filename string instead of the data.

What am I doing wrong? It seems like it should be one of the methods above and I can see in the logs where the Record with confirm data value is set correctly?

Any help would be appreciated!

but not getting any email from noreply@meraki.com to add the Devnet Sandbox organization. Before that I was getting those emails, but suddenly it stopped today when I create reserve the new lab in Devnet Sandbox.

Any other way to add the organization without email?

How to auto refresh team stats for supervisor

We have developed customer web desktop using Cisco Finesse rest API’s and everything is working. Now we are developing custom supervisor web desktop using Cisco Finesse REST API's.

We are able to show team stats (all teams associated with supervisor) for logged in supervisor.

Need help to auto refresh team stat API’s or method. Means when any agent state change happen then it should automatically update under supervisor team state too. Is there any event or method we can use to update supervisor team stats.

Standard Cisco Finesse desktop team stats auto update as soon as agent state changes similarly we want do in our custom supervisor web desktop too.

What is the preferred way of developing a cfs package in multivendor enviroment with regards to port names and numbering?

The solutions are:

- developing some abstract names of ports that are later translated to vendor specific names - adds cruft to the package but makes it independent of NEDs and device specific data. For example "ethernet 1/1" maps to "Ethernet 1/1" or "Ethernet 1" depending on the device.

- using 'case' statement in top level package, like pasted below.

In my case NSO will have a 3rd party GUI application. I want to make the cooperation with GUI developer as simple as possible. I would like to:

- avoid the situation where the GUI has to have some variable scenarios dependent on device type etc.

- minimize the impact of adding a additional device type in future

- have too many interactions between GUI and NSO to find details about the device

DevNet Sandbox: Unable to spin up vManage on CML sandbox

I am unable to spin up vManage on CML sandboxes cisco provides and as currently unable to change the hard disk size for the vManage to something possible on the sandbox like 30-40 GB. The hard disk size stays at 512 Gig even after multiple attempts to change it.

Ability of Finesse Admin account - to update User / Dialogs

The Finesse API only allow the user or the supervisor update the user, such as change agent state.

Only the user can also change or update its own dialogs.

This makes the ability of making very useful apps difficult - as you need to be aware of the agents password.

Can we please get the Admin account or a special admin account that really has full admin access - to be able to access or change anything?

Example App - force an agent to Ready - this is useful for a AgentCallBack app - which allows escalation from chat to voice.

Customer enters a unique 6 digit ID (which the agent created via a Finesse Gadget and provided to the customer) - the customer then calls in and the call queues at that Agent at Priority 1 - CVP then changes the voice state of the agent to Ready so it gets the call (and no other calls that might be in the queue).

I have this all working - but it relies on using the agents username in the Finesse API - instead of the Admin - meaning we are reliant on knowing the agents password - which is not ideal.

Can NSO use/hold SSH keys for PubkeyAuthentication rather than password based authentication?

In /etc/ssh/sshd_config you can set login to allow PasswordAuthentication and/or PubkeyAuthentication.

We have a NED for Netrounds, but I believe it is set to accept PubkeyAuthentication only, and not PasswordAuthentication.

Can NSO support this?

AnyConnect timeout failure

Help requested; while I could connect last week all this week I'm getting timeout failures. While I can reach the sandbox, and I can get the DNS entry for 173.38.221.89 but can't ping it and AC times out. Rebooted, removed and re-installed AC but no joy. Same result with a separate laptop (both running windows). Suggestions appreciated.

Refresh REST token for authentication

Hey everyone. I am developing a CVP 11.6 application that needs to authenticate a REST API. The token is only valid for a short time before needing to be regenerated. While I am able to check for a 401 and POST credentials to generate a new token I am wondering if there is a way to have the app store that new token for subsequent calls. If not, would it be possible to store the new value back in ICM and have new calls use the value from there (unlikely, I assume) or would it need to be stored elsewhere (database?) and then pulled in? Any guidance would be appreciated.

I am looking for some help with this, I want to refresh the team data for supervisor and display the refreshed team data in table. For example, Suppose Supervisor Agent001 logged in , it will display all team data like Agent002, Agent003, Agent004 in table. Till now its working fine. But when any Agent changed their states for example, from Not Ready to Ready , that changed state should have to popup in the table.

Cannot find Unknown status Phones using RISPort70 API

I have been trying to find all the Cisco Jabber from my call Manager Cluster. However, the RisPort70 API reference gives me only registered and Unregistered Phones. The unknown Status phone does not show in the output. If I select unknown status phone only, it shows register and UnRegistered phones.

I would like some clarity regarding a back-to-back vPC between 2 sets of Nexus switches running NX-OS 9.3 (pic attached). The core Nexus switches are 9508's running HSRP/OSPF and the distribution switches are various 9K's (we have a few back-to-backs). I currently have 1 vPC going down and one coming up. The question is regarding the options such as "spanning-tree port type" and "spanning-tree bpdufilter/bpduguard" options. SIP phone button pressed JTAPI listener

I am building an application that requires digit key pressed events (such as 1, 2, # etc) to be captured from SIP phones. I have followed the Cisco JTAPI 11.5 guide and enabled the CiscoTermEvFilter.setButtonPressedEnabled(true) before adding a TerminalObserver implementation to the Terminal. I am seeing CiscoTermInServiceEv and CiscoTermOutOfServiceEv events but no CiscoTermButtonPressedEv events. The JTAPI documentation specifies DeviceKeyPressedEvent as an unsupported CTI Event for SIP Phones. Is this the reason why no CiscoTermButtonPressedEv events are reported to the TerminalObserver implementation. Are the DeviceKeyPressedEvent and CiscoTermButtonPressedEv one and the same.

Monitor line unable to access calls on agent line

I'm in the last legs of implementing silent monitoring. Currently, I have our local app running as a TAPI application user. The application user owns two TAPI lines: the monitor and one agent line. Whenever I attempt to monitor the agent line, the monitor line is able to map to the agent line, but consistently says that there is no call on the line (even when I do have active calls going). This is the error I'm getting in the TSP logs:

As you can see, initially the mapping is found, but then there is not CtiConnectedState call on the line. I'm very confused by this since at the time there was an active calling going on on that line to a weather station.

Is there a configuration change that needs to happen either to the application user, monitor, or agent? The agent has their Built-in Bridge turned on, so that shouldn't be an issue. Both the monitor line and application user have call monitoring enabled. I'm just not sure what else might be missing to get this to work. Any help is appreciated.

NETCONF NED Make Error | YANG naming overlap

I’m running into issues where I can’t create a Docker image based on a NETCONF NED created using this method: https://developer.cisco.com/docs/nso/guides/#!netconf-ned-builder/overview-of-the-netconf-ned-builder-workflow

I fetch the modules, selected Cisco-IOS-XE-*, then ran make-development-ned as I need the netsim support. When running make within src folder I get the same error as the attached docker build error.

It seems to be something related to the yang files but I'm not sure. I don't think I should have to go into each YANG model from the device and notate it.

Presence API - Validation constraint violation in getPolledPresence in Version 14.0

We installed the new version of the Cisco Unified CM IM and Presence Server (System version: 14.0.1.10000-16) and ran into a problem with the call "getPolledPresence" which returns an error "Validation constraint violation: value range or content length violation in element 'urn:contact'". I could not find any problem with the call and in version 12.5 there was no problem with this call.

Can't reach any hosts in the Secured Routes list over VPN

I reserved a sandbox this morning and connected to the VPN. After it updated AnyConnect to 4.9.04043 and reconnected, I cannot reach any hosts in the Secured Routes list. Found that I couldn't resolve DNS when I connected so I started pinging all the IPs in the lab - no joy.

Does this sound like a problem with my client or has anyone else had a similar issue today? I can connect to my work AnyConnect profile with no issues.

connection issue to CML

I created a new on demand session about 11:00 AM CST today. The setup took a bit longer than I was used to but it finally completed. Once completed I received the standard email stating to login to the VPN which I completed fine. Once logged into the VPN though I cannot access the developer login page (https://10.10.20.161). The URL times out. I logged out of the DevNet site and back in, selected my current CML lab but still cannot reach the developer page. Any help would be appreciated.

I have 12.5.1 in my environment and am able to login successfully via Postman but when attempting to perform any other calls, such as getPhone or list user, I keep receiving the error: "HTTP Status 599 – Wrong axl version, supported versions are 10.x,11.x and 12.0"

I have tried setting the version in header to different values but keep receiving this error in Postman.

Any pointers?

In Fin12, there's a few mini-gadgets across the header called components. The admin guide says that only Cisco-supplied objects are currently supported there, but I'm curious if there's been any movement on enabling 3rd party components? I checked the sample code on GitHub, but didn't see anything.

Of course, I can create a gadget that inserts a DIV into the header but it's always nicer to play by the rules...

I setup a reservation for Unitied Contact Center Express 12.5 w/ Finesse and typically I receive two e-mails after I request the reservation. The first one stating the environment is being built, while I receive a 2nd one after it has been built with my AnyConnect VPN infromation. I see my envionrment has been built but I have not received the 2nd e-mail. Is there a way for me to have that 2nd e-mail resent to me?

Allright, first, I am brand new to Devnet. I am looking for a starting point and a direction to follow. E.g: Level 0.1 knowledge.

I have played with the restconf and the netconf APIs on the 9300 series switches and I am starting to understand their capabilities. However, I am also starting to think that this is an impractical way to manage port resets to reboot PoE equipment. I have ISE and DNA and I think there may be a better way using ISE to do what I want.

The scenario: I have a piece of equipment (Digi USB Anywhere) that randomly just stops talking on the network. The only solution to this so far is to reboot the device. I have added PoE splitters to power the devices and now I am using them to reboot these devices. The process is manual. Get the site, log into the switch, shut/no shut the port.

After playing with the restconf APIs I discovered that I could just use an API call to do this. What I am wondering, and since I am brand new at this, without having to dig into it too deeply is; Is there a better way to do this? I am hoping for suggestions, ways to secure credentials, possible courses, and reading material to better understand the technology I already have.

TAPI Device Identifiers

I'm in the middle of trying to implement silent monitoring. Everything seems to be in place except for the identifier for the line I'm trying to monitor. According to this page of the documentation, I have to pass "the permanent lineID of the of the line whose active call has to be monitored." I've tried using the dwPermanentLineID from the LineDevCaps struct for the line I'm trying to monitor. I've also tried using the actual phone number of the line as well for this value. Despite this, I consistently get this error:

CSelsiusTSPLine::DevSpecific() [0x00000708] Unable to find line object: m_TAPIPermanentLineID=0x-------- (whatever the hex version of the number is)

I'm not sure what other possible identifiers I could use as this Permanent Line ID.

Are there any other possible device identifiers that CUCM would recognize to connect the monitor to the agent line?

I wanted to give my agents the ability to pause inbound chats while still taking calls. However, in testing on an agent who is Ready for all MRDs, sending <Media><routable>false</routable></Media> to the chat MRD's endpoint causes the Voice status in Finesse to change to "Withdrawn" and the /api/User/XXXXX/ state (MRD=1) to become <state>NOT_READY</state>.

Does Cisco allow separate management of Voice and non-Voice MRD states?

We need to dynamically add and remove DNs for phones and Jabber phones on CUCM 12.x. Because we use JTAPI to communicate with Genesys, can JTAPI-related settings be modified on the fly with AXL? If not with AXL then with what?

Longer story:

I am told that because we are using JTAPI for CTI related signalling, if I delete a DN and recreate it later, it will cause problems with JTAPI unless we restart Genesys (CTI middleware connected to CUCM via JTAPI). I am told that I need to re-initialize settings related to this DN with JTAPI every time I create it again. Is there some AXL option to do this? The sad truth is noone really knows what exactly is the problem, yet, everyone is telling me that I need to ensure that I can "recreate" JTAPI settings for this DN. Does anyone even know what the potential problem may be and how would you deal with it?

I have an Python script that needs to fetch the list of users on a given CUCM site. It was working fine for some time but has suddenly started failing with the following error:

How do I overcome this issue if I don't have any additional limiting criteria to fetch less records since I need the list of ALL USERS on that site.

we're using python and zeep library to list devices (phones) Real-Time information using RISService70.

the script works fine, it returns devices and their status as requested but the problem is not every device can be found using this service.

for instance, i have a list of 10 devices that i'd like to know their status, if i add them to the search criteria i might get 3 devices only and about the rest it looks like they dont exist.

appreciate your advice, anyone ran into the same issue ? is there any problem with CUCM nodes ? please guide me

I wondering if anyone can help me with this issue.

We have multiple UCCX11.6.2 HA clusters within our environment and have been having an issue with calls getting though the UCCX script queue and disconnecting when they are being presenting to an agent. This issue can occur within 2-3 mins of a call, or after 5 mins. There seems to be no logic when the calls disconnect. Likewise, the calls can be presented to an Agent in a Ready state for continuously for over 20 mins and the call never drops.

We have logged this with Cisco TAC and they seem to believe the issue is with the script.

We have provided countless logs and information to Cisco to try and identify this issue, but it just seems very odd that the scripts work absolutely fine on a UCCX 10.5/ 10.6 environment and when the scripts have been uploaded to UCCX 11.6.2, calls are suddenly dropping. This is causing all kinds of problems for us and our customers.

I have attached the script steps as identified by TAC and can supply JTAPI/MIVR logs as well as the script itself.

The strange thing about the steps if that even though is displays these steps:

It never plays the OutofHoursPrompt.wav file and instead drops the call.

The application was set to close at 21:00 and the call was made at 20:37 and lasted 2 min 39. I can provide CCDR records if required.

Would be interested to hear if anyone has experienced this issue before and any resolution

Finesse Gadget HIDE button for Consult calls only

I have created a button to display when call is active and in agent in TALKING status but noticed button is displaying when Agent trying to Consult with other agent(since agent status is TALKING) and would need help on how to hide this button for Consults. I have tried analyzing the desktop logs and i dont see any specific user state for CONSULT to write IF condition in logic.

Any help is appreciated.

Cisco CVA DialogFlowIntent/DialogflowParam question

Setting up a small trial flow in CVP 12.5 to communicate with a Google DF agent. I find that when I use the DialogflowIntent and DialogflowParam elements that CVP ignores the text defined within Google DF and instead uses the local TTS defined in my call flow, plus the TTS is rendered by local VVB and does not utilize Google for TTS - is there a way to do this where Google renders all TTS in the application?

How can I display only devices belonging the intersection of two device group when configuring a service?

Is it possible to display the devices that belgons to two device-group in the same time. For exemple I have a device-group that contains [ dev-1 dev-2 dev-3 dev-4 dev-7] and another device-group that contains [ dev-1 dev-3 dev-4 dev-5 ]. When I configure my service I want to see only [ dev-1 dev-3 dev-4 ].

I tried to use tailf:non-strict-leafref extension but it always displays all the devices that belongs to the second device-group.

403 Error Cisco-IOS-XE Always On DevNet Sandbox

Recently, I had been trying out POST request on the Cisco IOS-XE always on sandbox, in order to create a new interface using RESTCONF API.

The problem is, I am getting a 403 error code.

Quite a while back, I was able to successfully create a POST request (201 Response Code) using the "ietf-interfaces" YANG module (using Postman and Python Script).

However, this is no longer working (even using the same script which once succeeded).

Is this a issue with the sandbox environment? Any of you having the same problem, or is it working with you guys? The GET request seems to still be working...

Has anyone encountered a certificate issue when trying to use the DialogflowIntent and DialogflowParam elements on UCCE? In the error logs I'm seeing IO exceptions communicating with Google and am getting PKIX errors. Read somewhere that I need to set a Windows Environment Variable as follows but not sure if this is valid or not:

set GOOGLE_APPLICATION_CREDENTIALS=KEY_PATH

The error I'm getting is: A built-in element encountered an exception of type com.audium.server.voiceElement.ElementException. The root cause was: com.google.api.gax.rpc.UnavailableException: io.grpc.StatusRuntimeException: UNAVAILABLE: io exception

Allow RDP for Sandbox Anyconnect

Is it possible to configure the sandbox AnyConnect profile to permit RDP sessions to the machine running the AnyConnect client, or is anybody aware of a workaround for this restriction?

Corporate laptops in my company are locked down pretty tight so the only option we have for using most sandboxes would be to run it from personal devices which is less than ideal for most and not possible for some.

If remote users were allowed in the VPN profile this would mean that a virtual machine could be used to provide lab access as needed.

When I download my lab file from cml the desktop computers from my lab does not save the eth0 static ip address, netmask or gateway.

Is there a way to save it? Or write it yourself in the yaml file downloaded form the lab?

This is the configuration of the pc in the yaml file but i don't undertand how to set the static ip in this file. Have tried adding address on the eth0 on interfaces section but does not work.

I was making some tests in order to understand the behavior of lsa architecture.

I am using 22-layered-service-architecture in examples folder.

Let me first ask my question : when i modify rfs-service , is it not possible to re-store the service in rfs-node by help of re-deploying service in cfs-node ?

note : When i modify rfs-service by help of device-manager in rfs-node, re-deploy from cfs-node re-stores the servcie in rfs-node.

Here is the procedure i followed :

I have committed cfs-vlan service from upper-nso. i am not putting here commit-dry-run as this is from examples :

set cfs-vlan v1 a-router ex0 z-router ex5 \

> iface eth3 unit 3 vid 77

Then, i modify service from rfs-node:

FTD - Rest API to find usages of object

Whenever one of them is being used by a rule or a group, the deletion is being prevented.

I was trying to find a way to get all usages of an object so I could clean it up before deletion, but didn't see one.

Is there an API that gives back all references of an object?

stacked services performance

I have 2 questions regarding stacked services. Any help is appreciated.

1/ This is related to benefit of using stacked services to improve performance..

In documentation, there are a couple of places which says , by using stacked services performance will be increased, as diff calculation will be adjusted. I decided to refer to the following thread as a reference for my question as there is already explanation here from Jan Lindblad.

Jan Lindblad : That's right. When the parent service create() function runs, it will re-compute the input configs for the child services, and invoke each child's create() etc, rippling all the way down to the bottom of the dependency structure. Except -- and here's where the savings come in --fastmap won't call the child's create() function if the input config data exactly matches the previously stored input config for that service. In this case, fastmap already knows what the child service will result in (same as last time, i.e. what's stored in the database), and just pulls that in. Since what's pulled in is exactly what's already stored in the database,

it won't add anything to the diff that will need to be traversed in the end, so saves (potentially a lot of) CPU cycles.

So, in order to try this i have created a simple parent (fff) service and a simple child (ccc) service.

Parent (fff) service has inputs like that :

So, may someone explain me how can we save from the diff calculation with stacked services. I was thinking that for this child (ccc) service, diff calculation wouldn't take place during commit and or at least during re-deploy as per Jan Lindblad's explanation above.

2/ when i commit service fff, i do deep-check-sync and i get following in return :

Error: No forward diff found for this service. Either /services/global-settings/collect-forward-diff is false, or the forward diff has become invalid. A re-deploy of the service will correct the latter.

I checked that collect-service-diff is set to true, and i did re-deploy. deep-check-sync result is again the same.

May someone tell me why can i not do deep-check-sync? Am i doing something wrong or is this expected behavior?
