I am looking for a solution to monitor east/west traffic in our data center. Currently we have 2 Nexus 5596 which do not support netflow. Is there a recommended solution or network sensor that I could add onto the 5k and span the traffic? We have a netflow application (solarwinds) so I'm trying to avoid getting a full blown netflow appliance, just need a way to turn span traffic into netflow data and push to our existing netflow analyzer.
Thank you!

Nick,
I am moving your question to the Cisco Data Center Community under the Nexus Series Switches space for better visibility and access to feedback.
I hope this helps.

Hi Nick,
Switch does not support SPAN to NetFlow conversion, and there is not way to do it on the switch. What I would suggest you, is to take a look at the SW that can do this on a windows/linux server. On of the topics that covers this subject is here: https://communities.cisco.com/message/263677
Hope this helps.
