I would like to know if PLATFORM package is equivalent to Secure Internet Gateway (SIG) Essentials license?

Hi,
Unfortunately no, "Platform" package is definately not equivalent to "SIG Essentials" package. The SIG package includes the new web gateway and cloud firewall features, that were not previously part of an Umbrella package. Platform I believe is equivalent to "DNS Security Advantage" package, but you should check with your partner to confirm.
