topic Hi, in Cisco CLI Analyzer

Hi,

Please see File Analysis feature https://cway.cisco.com/docs/ReleaseNotes/sasa/2.1.0/video/file_analysis.webm This feature allows you to parse a file or paste command output for analysis similar to OI.

Thanks,

portable version?

Why making a CLI parser so bulky, requiring installation and admin priv? What about linux support?

All I need is something that takes the input from file and parse it locally in a human-readable format, a cli tool would totally get the job done. Why would I want to send the file to Cisco? Better writing my only script to parse it than trusting some admin priv exe that sends data out.

This is just another poorly executed product by Cisco. It made sense as a cloud app internally, but makes no sense for customers as a admin/install required sham to send data to Cisco.

Why don't you take a look at

Why don't you take a look at the application itself? It's written in javascript using nodejs, it would be very simple for you to extract the features you need in a cli tool and use node to run that particular script. This would solve both your problems - it would be portable and still be able to run on your linux box (as long as you have node installed).

Hi Yang,

Hi Yang,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on CLI Analyzer. The CLI Analyzer is indeed a SSH client with some thoughtful workflows, but also a tool to assist Cisco customers in their support activities. As you know there are many other products out there that meet the needs you describe. We are not trying to duplicate every client out there, but rather provide our customers a better support experience. That means integrating a lot of Cisco tools and knowledge. So in that respect it is not an apples to apples comparison.

Regarding Linux support. We have Linux in consideration as a potential client in the future.

Best Regards,

John

Hi,

yes, but what about an online-"CCO"-Version of File Analysis (to use without a local application).

Best Regards
