One advising of the reservation and set up is starting, the second will contain the following. Gateway, your username and password. This will look like this.

Hello, when I try to connect my Cisco anyconnect client to a vpn site: vpnEast, I get the following error:

         7:12:05 PM Contacting vpnEast.
7:12:05 PM Connection attempt has failed.
7:12:05 PM Unable to contact vpn-east.company.com.

i dont see this issue connecting to another vpn site (vpnWest: vpn-west.company.com). Issue is reproducible across multiple Cisco Anyconnect client versions and reproducible across other WiFis/ Mobile networks. Uninstalling and reinstalling didnt help either. Also, this issue does not affect other users just me.

When looking at tcpdump on my laptop, i see that the DNS is resolving the hostname, but i dont see any packets going to vpnEast.

Please advise if there is anything else I can do to troubleshoot and fix issue.

Problem: You receive an “Unable to Proceed, Cannot Connect to the VPN Service” message. The VPN service for AnyConnect is not running.

Solution: Determine if another application conflicted with the service by going to the Windows Administration Tools then make sure that the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Agent is not running. If it is running and the error message still appears, another VPN application on the workstation may need to be disabled or even uninstalled. After taking that action, reboot, and repeat this step.

I have almost the same problem. I have received my lab's private VPN connection information by email. But the Lab Network Address is a link instead of an ip address. I have the username and the password email.

Login through cisco AnyConnect fails.
