Root Password

Hi,

Iam trying to enable the network manager of my DevBox on my SandBox lab, I need the root password for that. Can someone help me what is the root password for it? I have already tried C1sco12345 and root, they dont work.

Hello @shrinidhi.upadhyaya for security posture we do not allow root access on devbox's. Which learning lab/sandbox are you trying this on and for what reason?

Hi @bigevilbeard i am trying to install a tool called PRTG. I need to connect it to a server in our network, for which i need to enable the network manager, so to enable the network manager i need the root password. It is Cisco Catalyst IE3400 switch and a Linux VM (Cent OS).

Hello @shrinidhi.upadhyaya thank you for the details. Sadly this will not work twofold - there is no sudo access and the devbox's in 90% of sandbox does not have internet access (security posture/policy), this second part would also impact your ask to connect this back to your network.

Hello @shrinidhi.upadhyaya sadly no, the devbox which do have external access are not full access and only have access to resources to follow learning labs.

i cannot edit this conf file since no permission granted.. can you help ?
