Greetings!

Did anything happen in response to this. I note that in the case of the IE4000 line of PowerPC32 switches, "other docker base images" are very hard to come by. It is unclear how they were created (to be able to replicate our own) since docker is not available for the powerpc 32 bit platform to start with!

Currently therefore it would seem the previous devhub-docker.cisco.com/iox-docker/ie4k/base-rootfs:yocto-1.7.2 is very valuable to support this product line.

Kind Regards,
Matthew.

Hi

Seems like iox docker and opkg images/artifacts are no longer available on DevHub.

The two links found in the docs lead nowhere - Docker Images and Packages Repository - IOx - Cisco DevNet

https://devhub.cisco.com/artifactory/webapp/#/artifacts/browse/tree/General/iox-opkg

https://devhub.cisco.com/artifactory/webapp/#/artifacts/browse/tree/General/iox-docker

I cannot find any related artifacts in the artifactory nor can I docker pull any of them. Looks like an authorization issue - the docs state that no docker login required anymore, and I was able to pull an image successfully before.

docker -v
Docker version 24.0.7, build afdd53b

docker pull devhub-docker.cisco.com/iox-docker/ir800/base-rootfs:latest
Error response from daemon: unauthorized: The client does not have permission for manifest

No, i didn't login to jfrog artifactory.

You are right, I also don't see artifacts for iox and opkg.

I am meeting an auth-wall when I attempt to access/download the artifact from my browser. Docker pull also fails due to being unauthorized. Like you I am also unable to see the "iox-opkg" artifacts from the web UI. The guide linked specifically says that you should be able to access this without authentication. This documentation is outdated and needs to be updated.

I have submitted feedback on this, you can do so too here: https://developer.cisco.com/feedback/

UPDATE: Received a response from a DevNet team member and have now sent an email to the appropriate support team.

I received a response from the IOX support that they have moved those images and that they are now unavailable. Was told to use other docker base-images and I have asked them to update the docs.
