Hello Team,

During Nexus 7K Sup2E migration from Sup2 on another Chasis , we got this error

switch(config)# install license bootflash:XYZXYZXZYXZYXZY.lic
Installing license failed: License host-id doesn't match license file
switch(config)#

My query is that, this license is bounded with Chasis or we need a sperate license for each Sup2E. Every chassis required seperate license or we need seperate license according to every line card.

Hello Team,

We replaced line Cards from one 7000 Nexus Chasis to another Chasis , and installed new Sup2E to new chassis. Previously this new Chassis had Sup2 Card . After powered up we got the following error message.

I want to know the license is binded only with one chasis or what could be the reason for this error.
