Hi everyone,

How do I go about getting a license file for features?

We've just received an M170 to act as a management unit for virtual IronPort appliances, we've purchased a premium subscription bundle. We don't have a PAK and I'm assuming we don't receive one since it's a subscription license, but now I'm left wondering how we go about activating the features we're entitled too under the subscription bundle. The only thing I can think of is logging a support case.

Thanks,

Mark

Usually, when you buy a hardware box, you'll get emailed the feature keys.

You could just set the box up, get it live on the network, make sure it can reach the internet.

Then login and go to System Administration/Feature Keys, and click on New Keys and you'll fetch your keys...

If that doesn't work, call your reseller and Cisco AE. They'll need a talking to... TAC can help, if the contract is in place, but if your reseller and AE haven't done their bit properly, you'll have to contact them anyway.
