How to block Youtube Hdvideos through WSA...??

Hi,

We have blocked Youtube Hd videos under Global policy->Applications->Application settings. But, it is not working for the end users. All high definition videos are opening under Youtube.

How to solve this..? Anybody please give us a solution...ASAP.

It should work properly as you have configured correctly. Try to block complete YouTube and check it is working or not? and if it is not working please open a TAC case fro the same.

When i am trying to block complete Youtube, it is working fine. But, i am trying to block hd video contenet under Youtube, it is not working. Please help in this regard.

Hello,

If you are looking to completely disable YouTube, you could also try setup a bandwidth limit for YouTube. Try setting it to 1KB/s and see if HD streaming is blocked.

If this still allows HD streaming, you need to open a case with TAC to review the configuration.

I am not looking for disabling complete Youtube, it should open but under youtube hd videos should not open.

Any suggestion is requested.

Basically WSA is using AVC

Basically WSA is using AVC (Application Visibility and Control) to only block Youtube HD video.

If it is over HTTPs, you also need to ensure "Decrypt for Application Detection: " is also enabled in WSA HTTPs proxy>Decryption Options.

If it is still not working, please create a new Cisco TAC case for this.
