can anyone advise me how to recover from a failed software downgrade on a SCA.

i tried 4 units following the guide but 2 failed and will only boot to monitor. The other 2 were sucessful.

thanks

I've never had a downgrade fail, but I did have an upgrade fail where the SSL-R (SonicWall equivalent of the SCA11000) would only boot into MiniMax mode.

SonicWall provided a doc on copying code with netcat to the device. I don't see this doc on the Cisco site, but here's a link to the MiniMax command reference. Depending on the version you have installed, not all commmands listed in the doc may exist on your version.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/hw/contnetw/ps2083/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a00801159ec.html

If you'd like to provide your e-mail address, I'll send you the SonicWall doc. The same procedures should apply to the Cisco-branded hardware.
