Hi,

We are using cisco SSL module in a 6500 chassi. When we are doing performance tests the ssl module adds alot of delay. Sometimes up to 1 second. When we are doing the same tests without the ssl module we are getting normal respons time.

Is this normal? Here is the ssl config.

ssl-proxy service XXXXXXXX

virtual ipaddr XX.XX.XX.XX protocol tcp port 443

server ipaddr XX.XX.XX.XX protocol tcp port 8080

certificate rsa general-purpose trustpoint XXXXXX

inservice

Thanks

Hello!

Every device within your connection will add some sort of delay. But maybe your tests does not have the right settings. How much is the processor load on the SSL-module? Can you change some settings in your tests?

Hi, writing from a diffrent account.

The load is around 1% we are testing with jmeter tcp sampling. But you can see the different when you are surfing around the site using firefox/chrome/explorer so its visually diffrent. We can also see that the SSL module is changing the http packets. Chrome cant handle the new http packets firefox in some cases explorer does not care and work fine.
