Is it possible in below condition ?

Client request vip 10.10.10.5:1099 and CSM play loadbalancing to the rserver (20.20.20.5:1099)

I knew that CMS refer mac address of rserver when play loadbalncing and above condition isn't in same network.

    Thanks,

Hi,

Yes, it is possible, even if that subnet is not configured in the CSM, the way how the CSM is going to send the traffic to those servers in 20.20.20.X subnet would be through the CSM default gateway, because the rserver belongs to an "unknown" subnet.

After that the CSM GW should not how to route the packets to those rservers.

In this scenario you will need to use nat client so the rserver will return the answer back to the CSM so it can complete the bidirectional connection in order to the VIP to answer to the client.

HTH.

Rodrigo
