Can someone tell me if you can run SLB in a hybrid 6500, or do I need to migrate the system to native IOS? If it can run in hybrid, any clues on which version of code for the sup and the MSFC would be helpful.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,

it can be run in both hybrid and native (see 3rd question in http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/modules/ps2706/products_qanda_item09186a0080092384.shtml)

This info is from the link above:

Hybrid configurations require a minimum CSM version of 3.1(2) along with IOS version 12.1(13)E3 and CatOS 7.5.1.

For the latest informations regarding SW refer to the Release Notes.

Regards,

Joerg

Thanks for the reply. I probably should have been more specific. I'm looking to run the SW only version in a hybrid 6500. There is no CSM in the system. This feature pre-dates the CSM, but I'm having difficulty finding any information on it's application.

It appears as I suspected, the SLB feature is only in the native IOS for the 6500 ande not the hybrid.

Mark
