Hi,

overload alarms clear when automatically when the overload condition stops. So if you see the alarm the overload is currently happening.

CIFS and LDAP connections by design are pretty long lived but a month is indeed quite old...

You must have a very stable network!

Best regards, Peter

Hi,

Is there a way to program a 612 to automatically close down TFO connections that have been open for a specific length of time?

also

Is there any way of auto-clearing alarms?

John

Hello John,

No, you could use a firewall or load balancer to close old connections.

And the alarms which can auto-clear do by themselves. The ones that do not auto clear when the problem goes away are too important to auto clear.

Which alarms did you have in mind?

Peter

We have a TFO overload alarm on a 612, thinking about upgrading these soon anyway. Just needed to know if they would auto clear and if we could auto clear old connections.

We have a number of CIFS and LDAP connections running for over a month now.
