Setup things according to the install doco.

did:

installed s/w properly on disk0:

enabled http

ip http path disk0:

However, when I open a browser to the ip address, I get not but no page found.

If I telnet to the ip address and port 80, I get a response so I know the webserver is running. The software is loaded to the / directory. I see a cv directory with files in it, and two othfiles at the / level.

home.html

home.shtml

Things seem right but no login prompt ever comes up?

did you install ciscoview for the catalyst as well ?

If I remember correctly, you access the CSM via the catalyst pages.

So are you able to view the cat6k ?

Regards,

Gilles.

I did install it yes. However, it is not a requirement. I will check on the second part of your question. Thanks for the reply.

ok - just tried it and it works.

ip http server

ip http authentication local

ip http path disk0:

And it works.

Did you configure the correct path ?

Also, if you want to access the csm module directly, the correct url is this

http://<IP-ADDRESS>/flash/cv/applet.html?dynarchives=cvdm-csm-1.0.sgz&sl</IP-ADDRESS>

otNo=<SLOT-NUMBER></SLOT-NUMBER>

Where <IP-ADDRESS> is the IP address of the switch and <SLOT-NUMBER> is the slot</SLOT-NUMBER></IP-ADDRESS>

number where CSM resides.

Otherwise, the default url is the Cat6k CVDM and from there you can select the CSM.

Regards,

Gilles.

you mentioned "did you configure the correct path". I have the three ip statements as you have. I tried you direct url and same thing. No page found

I have CVDM loaded also. If i point to the ip address, "no page found". In the / directory of disk0: is a cv directory, and two home.x files.
