topic CSS Multiple Discontinuous VIPS in Application Networking

Is it only possible to have VIPS defined that are part of one if the defined interfaces / circuits.

I have an external and internal interface on the CSS with respective subnets allocated. I want to setup a VIP based on a different subnet and have the CSS LB to real servers within one of the locally connected network subnets.

Hope this makes sense

Do you mean that the VIP does not have to be an IP within either of the circuit Vlan's associated with a port on the CSS.

If so, how does traffic get to the CSS...do you just route it from above down to the IP ?

That's correct - I tested in the lab. To get traffic to the CSS (for the VIP address), you would need to add a route at the hop before the CSS on the client side.

~Zach
