Can anyone help me.

I have a few design questions regarding SSL Accelerators.

A customer uses his web servers for SSL and is looking at introducing an SSL accelerator in between his firewall and servers. This box is purely going to do SSL accerlation and terminate the ssl connection.

The question is, Can the SCA 11000 do this without any other content network device.

example....

PIX Firewall inside interface connected to the SCA 11000 ethernet interface 1 and then SCA ethernet interface 2 connected to a cisco switch (not a content switch) where all the web servers are connected as well ?

???????

The question is, Can the SCA 11000 do this without any other content network device?

Yes, we tried that just yesterday and it works without any CSS, CSM.

Your design will work because it works for me.

it is super easy. put a ip on the box, enable web-mgmt and you then you can access via the web interface. and then create ssl server configuration from the web.
