CSM Upgrade 4.1.2 > 4.2.1

Hi,

If i upgrade from 4.1.2 to 4.2.1 and have active/standby state, can I just follow the instructions for hitless upgrade and after that invoke the command hw-module csm x standby config-sync without any other change?

the new config sync feature requires ios version 12.2(18)SXD1 or later [not 12.1E].

This is because you need to use the 'ALT' keyword to configure the vlan ip address of the backup csm on the active CSM.

This ALT keyword is only available from the ios mentioned above.

Also, as you can see, you will need some reconfiguration.

Finally, the redundancy function being different between 4.1 and 4.2, I don't know if it will work *hitlessly*. You should maybe find a timeframe with minimum business impact to the changes.

From my understanding, it means I shall clear ft config and start from the beginning to include the CSM failover module in the ft config.
