Connect CSS on Catalyst

I recently bought a Content Switch Service (CSS-11100) and I tried to

plug the interface e15, which is in 'bridge vlan 15', on a

Catalyst-2924XL Fa0/15, the problem is that the interfaces on both

switches are down:

CSS:

# sh circuits all

Circuit name Circuit State IP Address Interface(s) Status

------------ ------------- --------------- ------------

------------

VLAN15 down-ipEnabled -- e15 Down

Catalyst:

# sh interfaces fa0/15

FastEthernet0/15 is down, line protocol is down

On the CSS I have already created a circuit for VLAN15 and I assigned a

IP address.

Any idea how can I enable the connection between CSS and Catalyst?

George,

if it is down, it is a physical issue.

You probably have the wrong cable.

Don't forget these are 2 switches, so you need crossover cable.

If you have been using crossover, try another type.

I replaced the straight cable with a crossover and both interfaces were activated. Of course ,I had to specify manualy both switch ports to operate on 100Mbit-FullDuplex.
