Changing IP Address on CDN devices

I have a customer that wishes to move their CDN to a new subnet. It is a simple CDN (1 CDM and 2 CEs). I had read a while back that changing IP addresses on devices already registered in a CDN must follow a certain set of steps. Can any one point me to a URL that explains the steps involved or a describe a brief overview of those steps.

start from the CE.

unregistred from the CDM.

Then change the CDM., then the CE ip, the register the CE.

If that fails, you need to do a 'restor-factory-default' on the CDM and reconfigure it.
