The problem is there is no support in Cache Engine for more than one interface. The CE is sold as a single interface machine. Version 3.0 of Content Engine supports multiple interfaces, but Cache Engine code does not support multiple interfaces.

hello,

I have a Cisco 500 Cache Engine, it has two fast ethernet interfaces. I have created a user "cisco" with read/write rights. Interface fa0 is already configured and running with no problem.

Now I want to use the second fast ethernet interface also, but when I try to assign IP address to interface fa1 I get an error message "configuration interface 1 denied" however, when I change the IP address of fa0 interface, no error message is displayed and IP address is changed normally.

Why am I getting this message on fa1 interface and how can I assign an IP address to the fa1 interface?
