SIP Phone HW Conferencing on CME

sip phones 7841 on CME (15.7(3)M3) cannot complete a HW conference in the internal network of company.

for example:

1. Phone A calls to Phone B

2. Phone B answer the call, and press the conference softkey, and call Phone C

3. after Phone C answer the call from Phone B, Phone B press the conference softkey again.

it shows that Phone A cannot merge to the conference.

I have referenced a lot of posts in the forum, but still cannot resolve the probllem.

Try Removing G729 Codec from Conference bridge

That error always makes me think there is missing config, but you have everything in place just fine. Although I must be missing something subtle, because the output of your "show telephony-service conference hardware" is blank and it should not be. You should see the A001 and A002 listed underneath. This means that the telephony-service is unable to allocate conference hardware because it doesn't think it has any available.

Try bouncing the telephony-service and then sccp:

config t

no sccp

telephony-service

shutdown

no shutdown

exit

sccp

end

If the output of "show telephony-service conference hardware" is still blank, then debug sccp messages (and maybe debug sccp events) and bounce sccp again to see it attempting to register the conference bridge.

Let us know how this goes.

Hi HARIS_HUSSAIN, thanks for you reply. I remove G729 codec under the conference bridge, but the problem is still exists. dspfarm profile 2 conference codec g711ulaw codec g711alaw maximum sessions 2 associate application SCCP

Alright then. The debugs show the xcoder and the cfb fully registered.

So then, there must be an allocation issue. Please run the following pair of debugs and try to create a conference call, and post the results.

Hi Maren, I collect the output of "debug ephone hw-conference" and "debug ephone mtp". it looks like the same with debug ephone hw-conference.

Seems like a Bug Can you try with a Different IOS Version. Just upgrade to latest Stable IOS Version available.
