Hi,

Direct media in MRA is only possible with ICE media pasthrough. For this to work the jabber clients will need to have IP connectivity with each other using either their host up address or their NAT public IP. As long as you can guarantee that this is the case then you can have direct media between the end points.

NB: IF there is no IP connectivity between them then media will be anchored on the expressway servers.

There are a few requirements for ICE media pasthrough to work...

1. You need CUCM/IMP/Expressway 12.5, Jabber 12.5 and above

1. Enable OAuth

2. Enable SIP OAuth

3. Enabled mixed mode, CAPF and configure physical phones to download LSCs

You can refer to the documentation here

Hello experts,

Can someone tell me, which way RTP traffic will take for 2 external Jabber user.

So Callflow will be: external Jabber User A --> Expressway E --> Expressway C --> CUCM --> Expressway C --> Expressway E --> external Jabber User B

So if the call is established, which way will RTP traffic between Jabber User A and Jabber User B will take? Directly between A and B or via Expressway C?

ON CUCM I don´t use "Media termination point required", so I shouldn´t go via CUCM at all.

Need help!

The answer to this is it depends. There are a number of things that comes to mind.

Version of CUCM.

Version of MRA Expressway

If you have configured use of ICE/TURN services.

Hi

We plan to deploy 2000 users in MRA environnement during at least one year.

All the applications will be hosted in our DC.

We already made a POC with expressway C-E in a classic mode.

Do you have a white paper to describe the best way to deploy ?

We would like to have a direct RTP between remote Jabbers and phones

Can you guide us ?

Regards

Philippe CUVILLIER cell +33 688094567
