OK, so, are you using the built-in phone VPN?

Or are you using some other VPN solution and then the phone works on top of it?

Good morning - I'm running Callmanager version 11.5.1, and I have my 8865 phone configured to use vpn while working from home. Everything works well, but if I need to make any configuration change to the phone, I'm unable to while it's on vpn. I have to bring it back into the office, make the change, and take it back home. Is this by design or is there something else I need to do to allow changes? The vpn is set to tunnel all traffic. I am also just starting to look into Expressway; it sounds like that may be a better option down the road. Any suggestions for configuring the phone while on vpn are great appreciated!

I am using the built-in phone vpn. I did figure out what I did wrong. I didn't have the tftp server I was making the change from listed as an available tftp server on the phone.. That explains why it would work as soon as I brought it back in to the office. Now I can make changes and they push through... Noob mistake on my part!

Yeah, either option should work, but if it was using other VPN, it might have been a problem with ports being blocked or routing.
