Friends,

I would like to know the details of the A-Flex license usage. I purchased 1,400 licenses, but the current usage is shown below is confusing me. How can we calculate the license usage? What is the current usage?

What is confusing in this case? You haven’t mentioned which license you purchased.?

I hope the image mentioned below will help you understand the Flex licenses and the actual CUCM usage. For CUCM, it’s still the CUWL, Enhanced, Enhanced Plus, Basic, and Essential licensing.

I purchased A-FLEX-EAPL with a quantity of 1,400. According to Cisco, I will receive the license as follows:

Purchased EA-Flex License - 1400

20% Professional lic CUWL - 280 (10 Dev/User)

50% Common Enhanced Lic - 700 (8XXX & 9XXX IP phone models 1 Dev/1 Users)

20% Essential Lic - 280 (Limited model 6XXX & 7XXX 1 Dev/1 Users)

Total - 2660

The total amount of licenses should be 2,660, but when I check the Call Manager under the license section, it shows 3,048. This number is confusing to me. How does the usage license differ from the purchased license?

You can view how the licenses are fulfilled from the Smart Account, not on the CUCM. The CUCM licensing page only shows the licenses required based on the configured devices. Additionally, it indicates whether we are authorized to use those licenses, which is determined by the number of licenses in the Smart Account VA.

Check your Smart Account VA for more clarity.
