Hi,

I have a "ISR 2911" with "EHWIC-4ESG" used as ethernet switch module.. The four ports in this card are assigned to the same VLAN connecting to routers as these are in the same LAN subnet for IPV4 and IPV6 addressing.

I am able to ping from IPV4 address between the routers. But when i try to ping IPV6 addresses among these routers, i am able to ping only between 2 routers and unable to ping between the other two.

I have connected the four routers in an actual switch (Cisco 3560) and it works fine as i am able to ping (IPV6) between all these 4 routers within the same LAN. But when i use Cisco 2911 with ethernet switching card then it is not working (Unable to ping (IPV6) between 2 routers).

There is no problem with IPV4 but only with IPV6 ICMP. .I have observed only the issue with IPV6 ICMP, as i can run HSR Pfor IPV6 via ethernet switch module in 2911. That means this switch card is fucntioning except for IPV6 ICMP.

Can some one please help me why the issue is only for IPV6 ICMP packets when using ethernet switch card ?

PS : Attached HLD diagram

Thanks in advance,

Anil.
