Yes when you change to transparent it will show up in the running config usually up towards the top of the config file.

Hi I am planning to change all my swithches to transparent mode.

On my clients i will issue "vtp mode transparent" and "vtp domain switchname"

i just want to make sure this is ok, the clients currently get their vlans form the VTP server, if i do a "sh run" i cant see the vlans configured, they are stored in the VLAN.dat file.

When i issue the VTP mode transparent command will the vlans be copied to the running config?

thanks for any help
