3750 stacking problems

Hi there,

I've just installed a 3750 two switch poe stack between a 3750v2-48PS ( slave ) and a WS-C3750E-48PD ( master ).

I'm running the following IOS on both respectively:

c3750-ipservicesk9-mz.122-58.SE2.bin

c3750e-universalk9-mz.150-1.SE.bin

Are these compatible?

The stack seemed to be working fine but today a number of times the WS-C3750E-48PD locked up, all ports went down and so too did PoE. The 3750v2-48PS then took over as master.

Any ideas as to what this problem might be?

They need to be running the same IOS version if they are members on the same stack.

Paul,

For a stack to work correctly, you need to have the same exact IOS installed in both switches, if not you will have problems.
