Output Queue Drops can happen due to your QOS is configured to drop the packet at some traffic rate or the traffic rate is exceeding the line rate.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the interface hardware receives traffic at high rate than the line rate, it will start dropping the packet and you will see output queue drops&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I want to know how does cisco detect OQD detection on one interface ? Does Cisco use particular protocol for overflow detection on output queues?for example sening some special packet on wire to another peer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks in advance &lt;/P&gt;</description>
