topic MX84 VPN question in Cloud Networking Platform

Hello,

First post here. I'm looking to replace our Cisco 2900 router, and one of the choices is the MX84. My question is that can I use the AnyConnect VPN client for the MX84 or do I need a Cisco ASA?

For any one used the MX84, how do you like it so far?

Thanks,

Tony

Unfortunately no you can't use AnyConnect as it utilized IKEv2 and the MX is currently only able to use IKEv1 (crazy I know, and hopefully they'll update it).

Here is the guide on how to configure a variety of clients to connect to the MX using ClientVPN.

https://documentation.meraki.com/MX/Client_VPN/Client_VPN_OS_Configuration

Thanks. I saw that link earlier, but I wasn't sure it this was still the case. Any idea why some connect a Cisco ASA to the MX so they can use AnyConnect?
