Firewall Logging records events by flow and policy context. It is not a strict packet-by-packet trace of the firewall processing path. If an L3 rule blocks the connection, the L3 rule remains the enforcement point even if an L7-related log entry is also present."; added "The MX processing flow diagram shows the enforcement path for traffic. If an L3 firewall rule blocks a connection, that L3 rule is the enforcement point and the blocked traffic does not continue to L7 rule evaluation on the normal packet path. Firewall Log may still show L7 or application classification context for the same flow, but this does not mean L7 rules enforced the block after an L3 deny."
