Granite Edgeboot is designed to have your ISP gears power plugged into it so that the carrier gear can be rebooted. Then an ethernet connection into that ISP so it can monitor the status.

I suppose it could also work with your MX but it's gear agnostic, the gear just needs to have its power into the edgeboot and then the lan connection into something that gets internet solely from the device you want to reboot so that it can sense if that internet goes offline.

If you were monitoring an MX you could put it into an isolated VLAN off the MX that gets DHCP from the MX.

I started a work contract and the business I am working for is adding Granite Edgeboot devices to their 1500+ locations to help trouble shoot future internet issues. I am having a hard time finding good materials on the internet to help me prepare for go time. What do you guys recommend. I feel like I have exhausted all the resources on the Granite Edgeboot site, Meraki Site, Google, and YouTube.

I believe that here in the Meraki community there is not much we can do to help you, since this is not something related to Meraki.

But have you tried contacting Granite support directly?
