SNMP Dashboard Polling

Hello All,

I am fairly new to Meraki. I'm tasked with getting a 3rd party NMS hosted in the cloud to SNMP poll devices in my organization. I have read several articles about enabling SNMP v2-3 at the Organization settings level and you can enter in the IP restrictions field the public IP of the hosted device I assume.

I also read where you can do this action in Network-wide>General level for each site and then go under the Firewall, WAN appliance services section, you need to whitelist the public IP. I am confused. Does this need to be done in both places? I am thinking just at the Organization level. Thanks

The firewall settings are only for polling things externally. If your NMS is inside your network you only need do the organization level settings.
