How / where do I get a Meraki QR code for my Microsoft Authenticator App?

I have a well established multi year / multi hardware / multi subscription Cisco Meraki Account.

On entering my email / password, Meraki insists on me retrieving a code from my Microsoft Authenticator app. The app is correctly installed and accessible on my phone, but in Microsoft's infinite wisdom, all but one account (the Microsoft one) has been deleted.

I need to add a Meraki account, which requires a Verified ID QR Scan or Code. Where / how do I get one of these?

Without this I have no access to my Dashboard, etc. Its serious.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

I assume you have registered 2FA in meraki dashboard as it wants a verification code.

That QR code you can only get when you are already logged in. Otherwise anyone would be able to add your 2FA to their mobile phone if they knew your email and/or password.

Have you saved your One Time Passwords you got when setting up the 2FA? If you have then you should be able to use one of them to login with.

It does not seem to be any way for another admin to reset your 2FA either and i am not sure if meraki support can help you with that.

But you can try to reach out to meraki support and see what they say.

Contact Meraki support. They may need to identify you in an alternate way via your Cisco account, but should be able to help.

As already mentioned- you should have some one time passwords squirreled away somewhere.

If not, it’s a call into Meraki support

I contacted Meraki support (thanks for the suggestion) who were very helpful, and shared that I had an alternative Administrator set up without 2FA. I now have access to my Dashboard (phew!!)
