Why won't you go away - Alert banner that is

Every morning I log into my dashboard and if I navigate to my systems manager section I get the below banner, it's been showing for weeks now and I click the x to get some real estate back but each morning it's there again. Whats more annoying it's informing me I don't need to do anything...

Can we make it so that if you close a banner it's gone for good?

Yes please - please make the banners go away permanently once you close them.

I find this banner much worse, which has been tormenting most of us for months. It appears with every MX and reappears every time the page is reloaded, no matter how often you close it.

I've chased this down. The USB modem deprecation banner is now permanently dismissible. Please let me know if you notice otherwise. If you did the workaround of hiding non-critical dashboard banners in Organization > Configure > Settings then don't forget to revert that.
