Had a similar delay with alerts recently. The messages finally came through much later than the actual event, which messed with timing. Using text messaging for quick updates is great, but these lags can throw things off. Ended up adding a small log to track the actual switch times so I could compare with when the SMS arrived—helps to spot if it’s a system delay or network issue.

I saw there was / is an issue with MT alerts however I wanted to mention that I am seeing delays of SMS alerts with MS and MR devices as well.

I did some work on a switch this afternoon between 13:18-13:45 NZ time and I only received SMS alerts at 15:24 to say the equipment had gone offline and come back online.

@BlakeRichardson - I (too) took a MX105 offline at 7:53PM CDT and got notifications at 10:22PM CDT. So I concur with your discovery of delayed SMS alerts.

I noticed delays mostly happen during high traffic times or outages. I switched to email alerts as a backup since they tend to come through faster and more consistently for me.
