Hello,

We have a situation where a Cisco Meraki customer that is on a Meraki SUBSCRIPTION managed by another Cisco Partner needs to renew their subscription but DOES NOT want to work with said partner due to lack of response and poor pricing and wants to work with my company instead. How do we go about facilitating the subscription renewal and/or having Cisco transfer the Subscription to us at the customer's request?

FYI for future reference, there are processes available to do this mid-term as well if a customer ever asks for it. Called a P2P transfer.

Also possible with EAs a but a bit more complex.

There is documentation in Sales Connect. This is one: https://salesresources.cisco.com/Link/Content/DC83W79qPFfMfGMTpDT442PgRm4P
This is older and still says limited to Collab, but I know it's been expanded.
This is the EA documentation: https://salesresources.cisco.com/Link/Content/DCPCJ6RP2fB9fGHCJ8GqQVWFQgp8

Regardless in either situation you want the Cisco account team involved, but as they change frequently this may help steer them to the right internal resources when they aren't sure.

Have you successfully completed a Meraki Subscription (Non-EA) P2P Transfer using the process you provided: https://salesresources.cisco.com/Link/Content/DC83W79qPFfMfGMTpDT442PgRm4P

@Meraki the above content in Sales Connect looks to require updating, no?

I have not, other subscriptions yes, but not specifically Meraki yet.

I suggest joining some of the partner webex teams rooms to augment what you are getting from your account team.

When it comes to partner things like this, the community and the community team are rather separated from those sorts of things

I escalated something through our Cisco PAM and they said their "Meraki expert" advised the P2P Transfer using the above process does not apply to Meraki Subscriptions.

If the request is for a subscription modification, the incumbent Cisco partner owns the subscription and is the only party able to make changes to it. If the customer no longer wishes to work with the incumbent Cisco partner, the customer must cancel the subscription with the partner of record for a prorated refund and rebook with the new partner. The cancellation process is outlined in the Cisco Meraki Subscription Licence Ordering Guide. Once cancelled, the customer’s networks linked to the subscription will enter its grace-period. The customer will then need to claim the new subscription key provided by Cisco.
