Hello @leny.miger,

I like the first option because it returns more data in simpler formats. I think managementStatus and reachability response attributes are going to be what you will need to focus on.

Best of luck,

Hello everyone,

I need your help about Cisco Prime resources.

I am working on a SCADA project developed with Iconics’ Genesis64 software on a place where Cisco Prime is used to manage Wi-Fi Hotspots. The easiest way to communicate i found is REST API.

I am asked to show a SCADA alarm when an access point is not responding.

Searching through the documentation, I found interesting points that could help but I am not sure about which one is the simplest and can be implemented:

GET Devices ( https://developer.cisco.com/site/prime-infrastructure/documents/api-reference/quick-start-guide/v4/data/Devices@_docs/ ) where reachability seems an interesting value. It seems like the simplest thing to do, but GET Devices returns many information, is there a way to only have devices id/source and their reachability.

GET Device Reachability Status ( https://developer.cisco.com/site/prime-infrastructure/documents/api-reference/quick-start-guide/v4/op/statisticsService/device/reachabilityStatus-GET@_docs/ ) seems to answer the previous question but the returned values are more complex.

Keep in mind that i just want to check the life state of devices so the best solution is the simplest.

Thanks in advance for your help.
