I am trying to use the Genie API get_boot_variables(). It has a model specific function for cat3k, but the API is not detecting cat3k devices from my testbed file. I am guessing it uses the testbed.devices.device.type field. Does anyone have an explanation of how the API determines specific model?

Hello, I have discovered the answer. The platform field in device testbed must match one of the Unicorn supported platforms.

https://pubhub.devnetcloud.com/media/unicon/docs/user_guide/supported_platforms.html
