topic Recommendation for hardware token in Managing Users

Hello Community,

can someone recommend me an hardware token? I mean some with the possibility to generate secret digit-codes on a display.

Reason for it: We have an employee without a smartphone or any phone and we need to authenticate against a VMware UAG which works with RADIUS, so a Yubikey doesn’t work. I need to generate secrets in form of numbers resp. digits.

Thanks in advance!

You can purchase hardware tokens from Duo from the Billing area of the Duo Admin Panel. W will load the seeds before sending them to you so they are ready for use. They are sold in packs of 10.

If you want fewer tokens than that, you should be able to import something like this or this. You want to make sure to purchase a token that supports HOTP and not just TOTP, and the vendor has to send you the seed info for you to import them into Duo yourself.

Hello @DuoKristina,

What does 'packs of 10' mean exactly? Could you please clarify that part? For example, if I have 100 users, does that mean I need 10 packs of 10?

Yes, you would need 10 packs of 10 tokens each for 100 tokens if you want all 100 users to have a token.

It means we don't sell tokens in quantities other than multiples of 10. You cannot buy just 6 tokens from us, or exactly 103 tokens, etc.
