topic Automating Secure Network Analytics Configuration via API in Network Security

Hello Everyone!

Curious if anyone else is automating the configuration and maintaining of Tags/Host Groups in Secure Network Analytics (formerly Stealthwatch) via the API. I've been working on automation that would sync this information utilizing our NetBox instance as our source of truth. The initial creation of the Tags and Host Groups is pretty straight forward and not causing me any issues. My problem comes when trying to maintain and update them. The API seems very limited. By that I mean, there seems to be no way of performing a query. If you don't have the ID of the Tag/Host Group documented, you're out of luck updating or deleting it. It would be nice ( and I would think a standard in todays time) that you could make a API call to look up Tags or Host Groups that have a ParentID of X. Or at least if you do have the ID of a Host Group, that the returned data would also show the children (if any) for that group.

Is this at all possible and I'm just missing something? Anyone else trying to do something similar to this and have a work around solution.
