RADkit 1.7.4 - Import of device via API

Dear sirs or madam,

I installed RADkit 1.7.4 from scratch today in order to fix a problem importing an own certificate. (I used 1.6.11 and 1.7.0 before)
I still have to manually import my 4000 Cisco switches via a CSV file and CLI.

Are there plans to let RADkit use the repository/inventory of other tools like
Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco Digital Network Architecture, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, ServiceNow?
So in other words are there plans to offer other possiblities to import devices via API into RADkit?

Based on your description, I would like to split my answer into two parts,

First, how to backup data from old Radkit version?

If you had a pre-existing installation of RADKit Service with version 1.6.11 or earlier and you upgrade to version 1.7.x with the option to install Radkit as an OS service, you can simply point your new installation to the old data files and all your inventory will be there on the new version. (check link below)

Second, can RADkit use the repository/inventory of other tools?

yes, Radkit can automatically import all inventory from Cisco Catalyst Center, CSPC, vManage... here is the list of collectors Radkit can import inventory from with a single click (check the import column) https://radkit.cisco.com/docs/compatibility.html#device-platform-support

to do this, login to your service GUI, under "Devices" tab add your example Cisco Catalyst Center collector, once done on your device in the right corner under "Actions" you will find a hamburger icon, click on it, then choose "Bulk import" to import all devices or "Select and import" to select only some devices. and start importing your devices 🙂 (below some screenshots to help you)

the same procedure applies on the other tools that are integrated with Radkit (list of collectors shared above).

which is very interesting but I do not need to point to old data files. Maybe I need the knowledge in it
to fix my 1.7.4 installation which believes it is still not bootstrapped.
Although I find the information on this webpage still a little bit confusing.

as well. I read it 2 times but I can only see comments and commands for Linux but I have a Windows installation.

It took a few minutes until I understood it. Good to know but I do not operate at the moment any of the offered repositories.
We still operate CPI. So I keep it in my mind for the future and check this URL from time to time.
