I'm sorry can't find the edit, actually 44.4 VDI plugin works as expected.
Thing is I have to follow their releases but as per the website 44.10 should be backwards compatible with 44.4 webex version.

Good morning,

I am having troubles with Webex VDI Plugin, and would like to ask some questions from the Pro's!

So we work for a third party client that has a Citrix Workspace virtual desktop which we connect to, it hosts Webex App version 44.4.0.29432 at the moment.

As far as I can see, if I download the Webex VDI Plugin 44.10 it is supposed to be compatible with 44.4 but when I open the webex inside the virtual desktop I get a notification that the VDI version is not compatible and I need to upgrade.
In order to get this message removed I have to install 44.4 Webex VDI Plugin. But I am not really sure if it's working good.

Also there's also the Installation engine for Windows,

I install it, open citrix virtual desktop, open webex , wait for 10 minutes but I see no installation of Webex VDI Plugin in my appwiz.cpl, but there was a Webex VDI Plugin running in task manager, which I have no idea what it was.
How is that supposed to work? Also it says that autoupgrade must be enabled, is this on the client side or server side (which is probably hosted by the third party company)?

Thanks in regards!
