Is that possible to reduce internet bandwidth issue if hide other's video display during meeting?

Hi all,

I encounter audio issue when connecting to webex meeting and switch meeting room from main room to breakout room.

I didn't encounter this kind of issue if all the participants didn't turn on video function.

So my question is if I hide other's video display during meeting, could this reduce internet bandwidth or it just hides the video but still loading the video behind?

Any solution or suggestion would be highly appreciated, thanks:)

note: since a few weeks the mediatest often shows "TCP connectivity: failed" - but things work nevertheless.

as far as I can tell, the results look good. You should have seen lots of green dots on the results-screen...

TCP vs. UPD:
different methods to transport data on the internet.
We usually do not have to understand this, to be able to use the internet
The developers of software decide what to use best.

If you are really interested:

TCP: method to send data, taking care of it: check if properly received on the other end, may re-send data-pieces if something got lost etc..
(useful for sending data from a specific point A to a specific point B,
not suitable for time-critical stuff (e.g. audio and video-transmission) since re-sending parts etc. may delay the transfer.)

UDP: just blow out the data, without taking any care (technically).
like a radio-broadcast: sending from point A (antenna) to ... "world out there".
(suitable for Audio- and Video-Data, not suitable to transfer Files since they need to arrive "complete" - without missing data-pieces whereas a small "hickup" (= data-loss) during a videocall is not a big issue..)
