Join meeting with Linux client?

This question is about the Linux Webex client but I'm going to start out talking about the Windows client for comparison.

First off, I don't like using Windows. I do so only when I need to. Most of my daily work is done from a Linux machine. Kudos to Cisco for finally publishing a Webex client for Linux!

I have the Webex client installed on my Windows machine. I don't have a Webex account and I do not want or need one. I don't organize and run Webex meetings, only attend. Therefore, I don't log in to the client. When I need to attend a Webex meeting, I start the client, click "Join a meeting", enter my name and email address, paste the link to the meeting, and I'm good.

The Linux client does not have a "Join a meeting" button. What's up with that?

The Linux client only has a place to enter an email address. Presumably this starts the process to set up an account, or is verifying my email address so Cisco can send me spam. I shouldn't need to do this. Don't need to do it on the Windows client.

How do I simply join a meeting with the Linux client without using or making a Webex account?

The question "How do I join a webex from the LInux Webex app?" has been up for over 2 months! That functionality should be the simplest thing to do, but it isn't. I tried to join a webex and the linux webex app ended up calling the host! Help!

I found it. To join a meeting go to the calendar icon on the top left side of the app, which will show your "Personal Room", from there you can Start, Join, or Schedule a meeting.
