OK - can I suggest some kind of discovery of spaces as a Webex product feature? For example, in Slack, the default seems to be that channels are public unless set to private, and they can be searched from within Slack. How do we discover and get invited to our spaces, so they don't become siloes?

As far as I can tell, in order to be joined to a Webex space (community/channel) I need an admin or group member to add me. This creates siloes, where people don't even know a channel exists. Is there no way in Webex to search all channels for my company in the Teams client, and proactively join (or ask to join) them?

No, you cannot join to spaces you are not aware of.. You may only join spaces of teams you're in as they list all their spaces.

There is a bot called Eurl (https://eurl.io/) that can be added to a space. If so, it can generate links that can be shared. Everyone who clicks the URL will be added to the space as well. The bot has some permission checks (eg. whitelisting domains or so) and has also a public list of spaces (by default, they're not listed).

Feature requests are collected via https://ciscocollabcustomer.ideas.aha.io/ (or https://ciscocollaboration.ideas.aha.io/ if you're a partner). The community upvotes good ideas. Those tools get monitored by Cisco PMs.

Personally, I do not like the idea of spaces to be discoverable. If you have lots of them, create a team, add new employees to that team, pin a message to the general space with links to other important spaces. Or create you onboarding bot adding new employees to the required spaces (via https://developer.webex.com/).
