Profile Intials

Hello,

My name is Ryan Van Der Linden. I think of my initials as RV. The application chose the initials RL. I assumed this occurred because the app thought my last name was Linden. So to fix this I removed the spaces in my last name to VanDerLinden.

The initials shown in my profile are still RL. How can I fix this?

This will depend on how your account was created. If it's an enterprise account, the initials are generated by the enterprise account record and you would have to update your name on the enterprise record in order for any changes to reflect on your account. If you're using a personal account, please reply back to this post with those details so a user familiar with personal accounts can reply back.

How would I tell the difference if its an enterprise account or personal? I think its enterprise since I got it through work. If it is enterprise how would I update the enterprise record

It is an enterprise account since it was given to you by your business. They will need to edit your network account profile. Who you contact would depend on your business. I would recommend contacting your Tech Support team first and see if they can help you or direct you to the correct department.

Its based on the Display Name and not the First and last name. I tried a test for your name on my organization account and below mentioned are the output. By modifying your display name i was able to achieve RV.

Hi @rvander ,

Step 1: Take a screenshot of the Initials you'd LIKE so see - like the RV someone else posted here, and save it.

Step 2: On the Webex App - Icon>Edit Profile

Step 3: Click Change Picture

Step 4: Select the picture of the letters RV you took in step1 and save

Job Done

Since I had to create a picture to do this. Be my guest. Copy this one (right-click and save):

@rvander, Note that not all organizations allow users to edit their user name so if the solution offered above by @Nithin Eluvathingal doesn't work you will need to contact your system administrator to have your account updated.
