topic Bounces between Cisco and HP on Webex VDI plugin on HP Thin Pro in Webex Meetings and Webex App

I'm trying to install the VDI plugin in a HP Thin Pro thin client, I've followed exactly the guide at https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cloudCollaboration/wbxt/vdi/wbx-vdi-deployment-guide/wbx-teams-vdi-deployment_chapter_010.html#id_135965) but I'm stuck at the point:

[..]
On the thin client, install the Webex App VDI files in the following order, either manually from a USB stick, or use HP Device Manager for mass deployments.

Order of installation:
1. Prerequisites
2. Webex App for VDI .deb package.

For more information about mass deployment, see the documentation for HP Device Manager, available from HP.
[..]

Cisco refers to HP, but HP doesn't recognize the .deb package as its own software and doesn't offer any support (by guides or contact support) to use HP Device Manager to deploy it.

It's possibile to declare the plugin fully compatible if neither company provides informations on how to install it? (a VDI plugin installation is not a consumer procedure, tipically is implemented in a mid/large infrastructure, we have over 150 thin clients....the mass deployment is not a whim...)

Anyone had a similar problem? Find a solution?

Instalation can be done with the following command:

HP command:

open tool → X Terminal,

sudo dpkg -p cisco-webex-meetings-vdi (if error, fsunlock)

sudo dpkg -i webexvdi-thinpro_amd64.deb

As per HP support you can use File & Registry template to deploy any application to thin clients. On that part, on how to use a File & Registry template for mass deployment I think HP can help more since the product in this case is the HP Device Management.

Reference: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Business-PCs-Workstations-and-Point-of-Sale-Systems/Deploy-applications-on-HP-Device-Manager/td-p/7639482

They suggest to check this guide: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/hpdm/Documentation/AdminGuide/5.0/HP_Device_Manager_5.0.3_Administrator_Guide_en_US.pdf

Hope it helps you.
