Line Label default

Looking for a way to show the extension # for the default line label on the primary extension. Only options I see are name/phone number, or just name. I know I can change each device, but prefer to change the default, as this would be a lot of devices.

you can't.. the "default" can be shown in the device management section (at bottom) of the calling tab in a location. You may be able to do it with an API but that may take some work.

If you navigate to Device Settings ( either user based or location based ) there is a setting for Line Key label. This should change the display to EXT only .

yes, but looking for a default/template solution, as I don't want to change the line key label manually for 700 phones.

For the device defaults you have Org wide, locations and user.
If you wanted every device in your org across all you locations, then go into Control hub, navigate to Calling in the left menu > service settings.
Scroll down to Device > Configure Default Device Settings.
Once set all devices onboarded will inherit those settings.

These are the only choices and the "user extension" doesn't show the 4 digit extension.

I searched on the API and I did not found anyone related to modify the line label. On my case the client want First L. xExtension.
